Sunwoven

Classical meets Charlotte Mason

Made for my own kids. Shared with yours.

Every printable here started as something our family needed. If it works at our table, it comes here: phonics, copywork, math and memory work, plus the apps I use to plan and record our days.

  • Master's in special education
  • 6 years homeschooling
  • Tested on four kids

Why I made my own

I own nearly every curriculum out there, and I still found gaps. So I started filling them myself: classical structure with a Charlotte Mason heart.
ClassicalStated rules, recitation, memory work, copywork and dictation, in a clear sequence.
Charlotte MasonLiving books, narration, nature, short lessons and real beauty on the page.

After six years of homeschooling four children, my shelves hold most of the big names in phonics, math, spelling and language arts. Each one did something well. None of them did everything my kids needed. One skipped the rule, one moved too fast, one assumed a child could write three lines before their hand gave out.

My master's in special education taught me to find exactly where a child is stuck and build the step that gets them over it. That's what every Sunwoven printable is: the missing step, made for one of my kids, used at our table, and refined until it worked.

The classical method gives us the structure: rules said out loud, memory work, copying, then writing from dictation. Charlotte Mason gives us the spirit: living books, narration, nature study and short, beautiful lessons. Sunwoven sits where the two meet.

About Sunwoven

A classical and Charlotte Mason homeschool for four children, and the materials made for it.

  • Master's degree in special education
  • Homeschooling for 6 years
  • Mom of four

I'm Ashley. I have a master's in special education, and I've been homeschooling my four kids for six years. Sunwoven started at our own table: when a child was stuck, or ready for more, I made what they needed.

My training shows up on every page. Rules are stated plainly and practiced in small steps. The type is big and bold, the pattern is printed in color so it stands out, and the pages leave room to write without wearing out a young hand. Children who learn differently get a clear way in, and every child gets lots of review.

Everything in the shop has been used by my own kids first. If something isn't working for your family, message me through the Etsy shop and I'll help.
